Petit modèle by Ladybird

Today is my first blog post as creative team member for UmWowStudio!
I've decided to show you a sunny layout to warm up your day,
if you live like me in a cold part of the world! :)
I added a coloured paper under the pocket chip to add dimension.

And don't hesitate to cut the chipboards to adapt them for your needs. This is really easy to do.
See here as I cut a leaf stem.
And the result on my page...

Chop! by Sindi Jeffers

This is my first official post as a member of the team here at UmWowStudio! I was so very excited to finish this first project. I just adore the little guy in this photo. He is such a sweetie. He was using his little ax to help his daddy and grandpa chop up leftover wood after a dead tree was cut down in our yard. And yes, he's in his pajama bottoms and a big puffy coat. It's how we roll.

As soon as I thought about a layout for this photo, I knew I wanted it to have a tree. I used the circle confetti mask to create my tree. I simply laid the mask on my cut out circles and spread some white gesso on there. After that had dried, I was able to use some cheap-o paint from Wal Mart to splatter on top. A few spritzes of water while the paint was wet helped to create a messy look. I also added some flower confetti to my tree for some added dimension. I used the layered banners for my title. I covered them in this adorable paper by Pebbles.

'Adventure-Sanctuary'

 Hello there!
Not sure if everyone is surviving the holidays but the good news for me and most of us worldwide is that school starts next week and I might get my sanity back!  I'm sure many of you might just feel the same way. Today I'm sharing a summer layout of when2 of my children were younger.

'Adventure-Sanctuary'

UmWowStudio Products list:

 Background tutorial.
For the background I cut 2 sheets of paper  - the bottom sheet was 2cm bigger.
I then layered/overlapped book sheets, various washi tape and strips of the remainder of paper.
I covered this lightly in gesso -dried and then water brushed Lindy's SG. magicals over gesso.

Well I decided that I didn't like it and just had to pull most of the layers gently off and Re add washi tape, more of the base paper, Magicals, Texture paste and inked with the Herringbone mask till I got to this............
I did the same to the fishy confetti to give it a distressed look.

Other Products:
7 Dots Studio -Destination Unknown word stickers, Blue Fern Papers, Tim Holtz Washi, Shimmerz texture paste and Prima flowers and gems.
Till next time....G!

Background was created using Clear Gesso, Gelatos and then embossing and stamping. I have used Circle Confetti Mask to create circle pattern with embossing powder.

Big letters were drawn using white Sharpie pen and UWS stencil.

To The Moon by Jen Matott

I have a quick and easy page to share with you today!  I created this page on New Year's Eve night before the night was over.  I had some scraps and confetti on my table and used what was in reach!
This photo of my boys is a favorite and I love them to the moon and back!

I started with a star stencil and some watered down Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accents Gesso.  I used a small spray bottle in the Gelato Mist Maker set and watered down the Gesso to spritz over the stencil.  Once it was dry, I used a Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art Grip Pencil in white to scribble some circles.
I love the textured look of adding beads or other small things to Gel Medium.  I used Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gel Medium to mix with glass silver beads and applyed thickly to the page. I pressed some UmWowStudio Star Confetti chip into the wet Gel Medium.  This held them just fine!
Some words to finish my title and the shimmer of the beads and gesso make this page glow!

This page was done in under 40 mins!  I used scraps of paper and ribbon to complete it and it makes me happy!

What could you make with the scraps on your table right now?

Material List:
UmWowStudio Star Confetti Chip
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accent Gesso
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gel Medium
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art GRIP Colored Pencil in White
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos Mist Maker set
Glass beads
Tim Holtz Word Stickers
May Arts ribbon
Studio Calico stencil and paper
American Crafts cardstock

Enjoy Today by Cassie Box

I love this kid.
This was such a fun day. We made snow angels and jumped on the trampoline.
That's dangerous. Don't do it.
As you can see, I love layers!
I love layering my clothes, my paper and my embellishments!
Layer all the things!
UmWow Chipboard is so nice to layer because you can buy packs with varying sizes.
I chose the Layered Raindrops for my base.  I flipped it to look like a Geotag.
Then added a Circle and a Heart.
That kid will always be where my heart is. <3
I use Glossy Accents to adhere my chippies.
It works great!
I am a big fan of adding embellishments on top of my photos as well.
I love Chevrons and the way they look when repeated.
Lastly, on this layout, I added a number tab because numbers are always a good addition!
See what I did there?!

Neverland - art journal by JaMajka

Hello :)
Today is my first blog post at UmWowStudio's blog.
I've created an art journal page about dreams and finding Neverland.

I've created my background with some shiny sprays and embossing powders.
Chipboards are covered with embossing powder and they have some little shiny spots
 - I will show you, how I created this effect.

Step 1:
- you need a chipboard, embossing stamp pad,
embossing powder and shiny spray.

Step 2:
- cover a chipboard with embossing ink

Step 3:
- cover a chipboard with embossing powder, I did it twice.
It makes embossing powder layer thick, shiny and smooth.

Step 4:
- that how it suppose to look like.

Step 5:
- I've glued my chipboard into my art journal page.

Step 6:
- now it's time for my shiny spray!

Step 7:
- just cover a chipboard with spray, straight from a straw which is inside the bottle.
Remember to shake it well before use!

Step 8:
- let it dry.

And it's done :)
It gives my page a little bit more shine on smooth surfaces of my chipboards.
I wanted them to be a little bit more interesting :)
If you don't like this effect or there are too many spots
 - just rub them with a finger, they will wash away.
