CardChallenge

The card challenge was due today (or may last night..) and the stipulations were a birthday card for a kid with an animal featured!

I have this super cute little Dino-Mite stamp with a dino on it - so I used that and some coordinating paper and buttons:



I also wanted to post a photo of my jealous dog interrupting my photo shoot:



He didn't get the card.. or bite it or anything.. just got right in my direct sunlight. Thanks Monster ♥ lol

Love Notes

My husband leaves me these adorable little loves notes whenever he is up and out of the house before I even wake - full of love and promises of security and happiness (which we mostly have already) and they mean the world to me. So of course I wanted to preserve them. I had the idea of "love notes" floating around in my head.. then SketchyThursdays provided a cute sketch.. so I used it.. and I ran across a stash of the Love Notes line by Cosmo Cricket in my paper! and VOILA!

I did of course incorporate more lollipop flowers.. which I'm loving.. tulle, ribbons, label tape, arte blanche chipboard letters, 2 chloe's closet brads, a snap from one of Will's old shirts, thread, eyelets, floral beads and the Love Notes line by Cosmo Cricket.

I made my photo mounts into pockets so that there's a picture of the note.. and the actual note!


and what kind of a scrapbooker would I be if I didn't write a little blurb about what these are and why they're so special?

SketchMania #5 - 8.4.10

Hello!! Let's start right off with business: I've decided on the addition to the $15 CropCredit prize offered by CropChocolate.com - I'll add a goodie bag (color coordinated) from my private stash - It will be fun and hopefully you'll get some things you'd not normally use! It's always nice to have a burst of creativity from some weird foreign object.

Also, neither Purnima nor SarahMichelle are able to join us in the examples this week.. but we still have some fantastic work from AJ, Rachel and Myself.

I do hope you enjoy the sketch and can't wait to see what you do! Remember: Deadline is the last day of the month. Then everyone goes into the drawing for the amount of times they've participated and a winner will be chosen!

Our First Summer

This is my 8x8 LO for the SketchMania sketch that will be posted tomorrow - eek! It's a little early but I've been slow in posting about my LOs separately - not to mention this page is JUST TO DIE FOR.

I love it so much. I used the CratePaper Prudence collection - turquoises, greens and browns - GORGEOUS.

I also of course made more of those distressed paper flowers.. apparently called Lollipop Flowers (they're also done out of satin and distressed with a lighter).

I used the sketch from this week's Get Sketchy Which was pretty simple but SUPER cute.

I've been wanting to try out these Distressed paper pieced flowers that are all the rage over at the Polkadot Door. You may have to do a little searching but I'm sure you can find them! Super cute and super fun. I'll have to ask the girls if they have any suggestions, mine just done seem as cute! Anyways here's the card.
