Be true

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost ! I have created a mini canvas for today and have filmed the process of altering the chipboard. I hope you enjoy !

The mini canvas is aprox. 4" x 4" or 10 x 10 cm. I have painted it with acrylic paints and used Faber Castell Big Brush Markers (same as I used on the chipboard) to make the edges darker.
I then did some stamping and added the dictionary word 'bird' and the word chip by Tim Holtz.
That was it !

Link to the video is below..

You will find this fabulous chipboard HERE

Thank you for stopping by today !

Birthday Card

Hello UmWowStudio friends!

I'm here today to show you how I use the chipboard from UWS in my CAS projects. ;)

I have used a floral flourish brunch. First of all I have covered it with white gesso. After dry I have used alcohol markers to color it. I have used light and dark colors to gives more dimension and naturals.

As least I have covered the chipboard with glossy. Ok, it is not really CAS ;) But you know, you can use the UWS chipboard not only for your emotional mixed media projects. Light and easy projects too... :)

....our crazy adventure

HOWDY.....thank you for stopping by the UmWowStudio blog today.
I have a fun little project I created.
I was digging around in my 'tovers pile
and found a strip of paper I had created.
I had adhered a piece of burlap to a piece of Kraft paper
and I had stenciled on the paper with

Seemed like this was a good place to start!

I love trying new things so I pulled out a few of my
new Baked Textures and embossed it onto my "paper"!

When I was done playing with color on my paper
I cut it up into ATC's.

I then pulled out my bag of UmWowStudio pieces parts.
I decided to use the "leftovers" from the

To make the chippies even better,
I pulled out a dollop of Modeling Paste and mixed in a bit of
beach sand to add MORE texture.

I repeated the technique using

I also smeared a bit of the left over "texture" onto the ATC's.

When my newly textured chippies were dry,
I painted them with a bit of Glam
then I gave them a spritz of water to mix the color up.

I put my ATC's together
and adhered them to a piece of barn board.

Here are a few closeups of my ATC's.

I hope you enjoyed my creative adventure....
I encourage you to try something NEW today!

Blessed are the curious

Hello everyone,

I have a tag to share today. I have heat embossed the butterfly chipboard and filmed the process so I don't have to explain ! lol

As a base a used a piece of design paper. I added some stamping, scribbling, a little gesso and embossing.

The butterfly is placed on some silk sari ribbon which I have stitched down the sides.

You will find the Butterfly HERE.

I am trying to use up my old stash of bits and bobs, these paper flowers are of that stash so I added a brad from the same stash and glued the whole thing down onto the tag...

I think it turned out nice, now if you like to know what I did to the chipboard then hop over to YouTube and have a look !

I hope you enjoy watching.

Until next time !
