Hello and welcome friends and bloggers,

DeeDee Catron owner of UmWowStudio and created for 7 dots Studio.........O.K. so maybe not patiently but I'm sure you will agree -who could blame me, isn't it just totally awesome!
So here is the first of many layouts I intend to create with this Collection and the amazing UmWowStudio chipboard to match!

'Under Dreamy Skies'

To create dimension behind photo I have cross hatched strips of paper and then
lightly covered with gesso, sprayed with Starburst Sprays and then I have water brushed Magicals to all the edges to highlight some of the weaving and also the texture paste stencilled dots in background.

Christmas card with small tutorial - Tusia Lech

Hello :)
Here is Tusia Lech and today I would like to show you 3 Xmas cards, I created using UmWowStudio chipboard and flairs. All cards were created on white cardstock - below you can see first few steps.

I cut 3 rectangles from white cardstock and sprayed them with Lindy's Stamp Gang spray and water.

When it dried, I stamped some Christmas images.

Than I gathered UmWowStudio products, I planned to use.

I began with covering all needed elements with white heavy gesso (Finnabair).

Than on some elements I applied texture paste...

... and some of the elements I misted with golden Color Shine.

Than I began to put all elements together - the result of my creative process is three cards - you can see them below.

Home by Miae Rowe

Hello and happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing a layout using the adorable Tiny House MASH. Those little homes are so cute and I've been eagerly waiting to use them!

I simply covered the houses with heavy acrylic paint....

I also used the Circle Confetti Mask to add interest. I mixed blue acrylic paint with gel medium to keep the dark blue color of the paint while still giving it texture when spread over the mask.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Missing You with Rhonda Van Ginkel

Tuesday greetings to you and welcome to the blog!

I created a card for you today featuring the Miniature Blank Polaroid, a Flair and the background texture courtesy of the Harlequin Mask and some embossing paste.

Missing You Card by Rhonda Van Ginkel for UmWowStudio Featuring Miniature Polaroid Frame

I created the card by starting with my background layer, stitching it on and then applying the embossing paste using the Harlequin Mask. Let dry or you can heat set with a heat gun for a little speedier process.

I then dripped a few of my favorite coordinating colors into the masked design.  While this was drying I coated my Miniature Polaroid Frame with some Art Anthology Dimensional Sorbet Paint in Mint Julep.

Love life

Good morning friends and readers. I am sharing a layout today which I created a bit differently than my usual style.
I am a huge fan of playing with patterned paper, and using it as my main layout basing. I  wanted to create a layout a bit more subtle with the paper, letting my UmWow products really stand out and shine.
I used mostly white cardstock, creating my large repetitive title as my background. I used lighter papers in small amounts as my photo mat, adding just the bit of color I needed. I wanted a bit more color to make my design pop, choosing to use my mists in a bit of an ombre look.
I still cannot tell you enough how amazing this set of flair from the "from the heart" collection is. They are my favorite my by far, and they are so versatile, for personal, heartfelt projects to project life spreads alike.
I chose  out the perfect chipboard saying to compliment my journaling, and of course I had to add my sprinkled star bursts, found in the celebrate confetti pack. I completed this layout by adding a bit of hidden journaling behind my photo.  I am happy how my layout really draws your eye to this amazing flair! I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the work week and keep checking back in  for more great inspiration!

A Favorite Quote Mixed Media Canvas

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Tina here today a Mixed Media canvas, using a favorite quote.

Creating mixed media projects shouldn't be difficult or require complicated techniques.  The canvas I would like to share with you today uses basic techniques, yet creates a unique and personalized project.

Texture is the key to mixed media.  Texture can be created by multiple mediums: paint, ink, paste, gels, paper, stamps, stencils and 3D items.  The background of my canvas was created using paste, stencil, ad watercolor paints.

Using the Checkerboard mask,  apply modeling paste to your pre-gesso'd canvas.  Once the paste is dry, randomly apply Shimmerz Inklingz to the canvas.  Let the colors mix and blend creating a beautiful, shimmery background.

Randomly stamp the background for contrast.

Prep your chipboard embellishments with gesso and let dry.

Chipboard used:
Alpha One
Water Faucet
Heart Confetti

Paint with your favorite product.  I used Shimmerz Inklingz and paints.

For more glitz, I added glitter to the inside section of each heart chip.

Finish off the edge of your canvas with washi tape and several strings of twine.

And this is it.  Done just like that.  Not complicated, but unique and personalized.

I hope you enjoyed by quote canvas today!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Journey of Sights!

Hi there bloggers!

It's Geraldine back again today to share with you something special I made for myself. I wanted to break away from creating layouts and make something smaller and personal so I decided to create an UmWowStudio Tunnel Tag book.
The idea comes from a quote that I heard over 20 years ago and I always think of.....for me it's about taking flight and reaching!

Set your sights high, the higher the better. Expect the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future but right now. Realize that nothing is too good. Allow absolutely nothing to hamper you or hold you up in any way.

Secret garden by Tusia Lech

Hello UmWowStudio fans :)

I created an art-journal page about myself - my own life. At the very beginning I cut some stripes from 7 Dots Studio papers and glued then down. Then I covered everything with clear gesso. Next step was to apply white, thick gesso through UmWowStudio Circle Confetti Mask.

When everything dried, I started adding colors using Glimmer Mists and than I stamped a little bit with 7 Dots Studio stamps (Thoughts Keeper collection).

Next step was adding embellishments - UmWowStudio Floral Collection chipboard, UmWowStudio Love Notes Flair, Prima flowers, Finnabair mechanicals, some thread.

Here and there I have adhered Finnabair Art Ingredients (Beads and Glass Glitter) using Finnabair 3D Matte Gel.

I have used also UmWowStudio Circle Confetti.

Final touch was adding some doodling using black pen.

My Motivational Art Journal Page

Hello everyone,

It's my turn to hang out with all you lovely UmWowStudio people and today I've "brought" with me an art journal page to share!

I've had a strong need to paint lately but I've had no formal training, no exact idea of how I want to approach it and sometimes that thought hinders me. Well, I found this quote by Andy Warhol which was so motivating to me:

“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”

I made to AJ page to remind myself of that quote and I used some UmWowStudio goodness to help me express myself.

Do you know what I love about my UmWowStudio goodies? Their versatility! They're perfect for layouts but you can use them on canvases, altered projects, and of course art journal pages.

I used the Line of Chevron Mask and Circle Confetti Mask over the background.

To add interest to my sketch used various different confetti and randomly painted over them:

Go create and have fun!
