New Design Team!!

I'm so excited to share that I've made the design team over at Viva Las Vegastamps!!!

You won't believe the fantastic product this company has to offer. Tons and tons of images for your picking in whatever form you'd like; wood mounted, foam mounted, or just plain ol' rubber for your own mounting!! They've also got some odds n ends like stamp pads and TH Grungeboard... but if you purchase anything from them I'm telling you now to throw in a few rolls of their MIRACLE TAPE. it is the best, most fantastic, durable 2 sided tape I've ever worked with. It's very similar to a carpenters tape in durability and strength, but nice and thin like a scrapbookers tape. B.E.A.UTIFUL.

(also, if you find yourself adventurous they've got surprise boxes and sell stamps by the pound!!)

BLOG(where I'll be contributing twice monthly) --- STORE(you'll browse their stamp collection for HOURS)

Be on the lookout and I'll share some gems I've found throughout the place.

Spread Your Wings

I got the gorgeous Gabrielle line from CropChocolate to do my current chocolatier submission out of, and I absolutely fell in love.

I decided to do an altered frame.

I'll never get over scrabble tiles and a label maker as words/titles. I think they're so fun. and the papers in this collection totally scream me. gorgeous browns, tans, turquoise and coral with splashes of white. And all the butterflies are so pretty.

I made this larger butterfly using a SU die, the Bobunny papers, distress ink, alcohol ink, feathers, stickles, and floral beads.

After tons of scanning, photoshopping, printing, cutting and layering I had the look I thought I was trying to achieve. The frame is nice and deep, so it provides a great sense of depth in the piece..

There's type of vintage shabby chiq paper crafting I've been striving to accomplish, and I'm just not quite making the target, yet. Oh well.. this is still a nice piece!

Viva Las Vegastamps! Dt Call

Jennifer Bliss shared that Viva Las Vegastamps is having a design team call, so I thought I'd throw my name into the pot! You can find all the info on their blog.

The two projects I'd like to showcase are...

A card made based off one of my weekly sketches for SketchMania. The stamp is a gorgeous collage piece from Inkadinkadoo which I stamped on a piece of old music sheet. I used tons of distress ink and powder as well as a piece of recycled corrugated cardboard packaging. The papers are KaiserCraft, which I also used to make the flower. That's a JilliBean kraft card base, TH film strip, a pearl bead and zebra wire. The pin is made with more pearl beads, a brown bead and a head pin. Tons of handmade embellishments, vintage and a perfect interpretation of my style!

and a tag made in honor of Tim Holtz's 12 days of tags. (funny they're both christmas!) I started with a manilla tag, inked it with a script stamp using StazOn ink, and distressed the edges with ink and powder by ranger/TH. The lantern (distress ink and powder) and the mistletoe both come from a set of Inkadinkadoo stamps, and the mistletoe has been colored in using stamp pads and diamond glazed for a shiny gem like effect. The large 25 are numbers from an alpha set by Art Blanche, and they've been embossed with distressing powder. I tied a piece of vintage ribbon around the edge and knotted some raffia at the top! LOTS of stamping and stamping techniques in this little ol' tag!

good luck to everyone who's entering!
