Man these SM sketches really are getting high in numbers! I can't believe this is the 27th one!
Hope everyone is having a great time this new year - and has set lots of good resolutions.. my number one resolution I think is to enjoy the small things - because it incorporates all the other resolutions I've set.. "Show my husband just how much I love him" "Catch the small things during the day in a photo" "Take a nap in the sun" - Things like that!

Sketchy Thursdays is doing another Guest Designer call - so here's my submission for their fantastic sketch!
The rules were: Use a heart somewhere (CHECK) There's a giant vintage heart on top of the black square
Use red or pink (CHECK) I actually used quite a bit of red, but I love these rolled up pieces of paper. other red used: the stitching on my vintage heart, one tiny red butterfly, the backing of my photos, and small red gems
Add journaling (CHECK) I hid my journaling as a folded tag behind the main photo.
Products used: Paper by EP and other random companies, Cosmo Cricket rubon, distress ink, distress powder, tag, Art Blanche chipboard, old book, lost and found charms, thread, hot glue, diamond glaze, blending tool, sewing machine, metal ruler, KnCO black gem, raffia and recycled crimped cardboard.
Paula from CC was kind enough to offer to put together an ATC swap for this upcoming Valentine's Day.. I opted to do 2 considering how I've felt lately.. and I think this one turned out really well:
Check out that butterfly!!! It's punched from a shiny pink gum wrapper.. one of my favorite things is saving wrappers and packaging to use at later dates.
I made the flower (Which I've started selling on Etsy!)
I'm not sure how 3D ATCs are supposed to be, but this one has gorgeous depth!
Products used: Be Mine collection by Echo Park Papers, Distress Ink by TH, Black rhinestone by KnCo, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, black cardstock, a pink gum wrapper, Dymo label maker, black beads, tulle and satin.
Thank you all for your submissions in last month's contest! I'll get with AJ from Chocolate Daily to see just how she wants to pick the winner and we'll be sure to announce it ASAP! Thank you for being patient and allowing me a week of rest/catch up from the holidays and acting as an incubator! I promise we'll have regularly scheduled SMs up for the next FOUR months!
I'd also like to say as a general feeling (maybe it's the hormones):Here's to love, life, laughter, creativity, growing relationships and growing hearts. Stay safe my friends.
The month of love is coming up and nothing makes that better than being able to share it with someone you care a lot for, and in my case soon to be 2 people... and our three dogs lol.
Ok enough sappyness - Onto the SKETCH!
