Beach Party by Ladybird

Summer is here, well almost!!!
And even if I am not able to spend my time at the beach, I am dreaming of it! So today, let me show you a beach layout very easy to reproduce.

Here is how I've made it.
First of all, I used the negative of the 7 Dots Studio Destination Unknown Die Cut cardstock Elements, as a background. I cut it at the right size to have it right behind my photo.

Then I applied my photo right in the center.

And finally, I added the Um Wow Studio chipboards and flairs to create an original frame around the picture. This is a good way to mix several collections of products.
Add some little touches of colours at the end and you've done. Here I used some buttons, gems and stickers, and finally some ink splashes. ;)
 Here are some close up.

Here are the UWS products I used for this layout:

Other products: Webster's Pages paper, October Afternoon buttons, Simple Stories stickers.
Enjoy the Summer!

Set Sail by Ladybird

Here I am to show you a layout with the wonderful Destination Unknown collection of 7 Dots Studio designed by our wonderful DeeDee! :) It was such a pleasure to work with these papers and I had the perfect picture : my two older boys with their pirate and shark costumes!
As this collection comes with lots of nautical embellishments, it was perfect for this layout.
As you can see, I coloured the star chipboards in white and I dit it with iRESISTible ink, a perfect way to add an enamel shine to wood chipboards.

Under the Sea ATC Trio

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Tina here today with a trio of Destination Unknown/Ocean inspired ATC cards.

ATCs have always been a favorite project type of mine.  I love little canvases and ATC cards are the perfect size.

To create the background for my mini scene's, I sprayed several shades of Shimmerz sprays, then heat embossed to create 'waves'.  A few splatters of spray mist and the background was perfect!

I wanted a lot of texture on my chip pieces, so I heat embossed the large pieces with chunky embossing powder and the smaller ones with glass glitter.

SeaLife Set

For a bit more whimsy, I added a piece of flair to each ATC card.  I love the dimension it added.

Wrap it up with a piece of twine and a sticker sentiment and DONE!

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Childhood Memories - A Mixed Media layout

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Tina here today with simple mixed media layout, created with 1 stencil and several UWS chipboard pieces.

I began by prepping my 12x12 chipboard background with a coat of gesso.  After the gesso was dry, I added texture with the Diamond Confetti mask and modeling paste.

The next step is to add color.  I began with watered down, PaperArtsty Fresco paint, layering several contrasting shades to blend.  For more glimmer and glitz, I spritzed several shades of Shimmerz sprays to the background.

I wanted to 'dress up' my chip, so I painted each piece (Leaf Stems(2),  & Flourishes One) with PaperArtsy Fresco paint, then heat embossed them for subtle texture.

I wanted to continue the floral theme, so I stamped (and heat embossed) a floral design on the top of my page, then painted the petals/leaves with more PaperArtsy Fresco paint.

To finish off this simple layout, I added a piece of Flair (Set Sail Flair) and a title (Alpha Two). Done!

I hope you enjoyed this short how-to!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
