Hey guys -- DeeDee here today sharing an INCREDIBLE mixed media canvas that I just happened to receive... as a GIFT this Christmas!
Oh yes.. you read that right.. this little beauty is ALL MINE. Created by a dear local friend > Tina Wacker (Christine.) I don't have many details, but we can all admire it's beautiful textures & layers. I chose this blog to put it on because in all her delightful layers she's included LOADS of UmWowStudio chipboard.

Be gentle with yourself
Hello everyone,
It is time for another post from me today ! I really enjoy doing these projects as they are so different from anything else I do. Today I did a little tiny canvas. It is only about 3" x 3" or 10 cm x 10 cm. And here it is :
It is time for another post from me today ! I really enjoy doing these projects as they are so different from anything else I do. Today I did a little tiny canvas. It is only about 3" x 3" or 10 cm x 10 cm. And here it is :
And here's how I made it:
I decided to heat emboss my flourish with copper embossing powder. I did change my mind in the end and heat embossed over the top with gold powder.
I embossed it about three times, so the layer of embossing on the flourish was really thick. I reheated it to make it soft again and then dropped some micro beads in the wet/soft embossing.
This is how it looks after I dropped the microbeads in. Cool huh ? I also added some gold paint here and there later but didn't take pictures. You can see the effect in the finished canvas.
For the canvas I applied crackle paste and coloured it with light yellow and burnt umber paints.. using some glazing fluid so it stayed wet longer and I could wipe most of it off again..
This is the result of both paints. I then added some stamping. You can see it in the end photos.
All stamps I used are by VivaLasVegaStamps!
Here are a few close ups of the flourish..
Apart from the canvas and the flourish, I used an original old photo which I found in an antique market. I am always on the lookout for stuff like this. I also used some music paper and some lace. The frame is from a cheap set of resin frames from the Dollar store which I painted and then used the same gold embossing powder over the top.
I used this chipboard today :
From the set Flourishes Two.
Thank you so much for stopping by today !

wanderlust
Hi everyone! Today I would love to share with you my mixed
media assemblage work. This project was inspired by quote “Explore. Dream.
Discover”. Three important words which I have always somewhere in
the back of my head.
I adore the idea of putting together found objects. You can create any sort of dimentional pieces. Usually assemblage creations are left bare, no added colours. I decided to add my own touch to this technique and add some coffee.

just create
Hello everyone!
I am popping in
today to show you my mixed media canvas, full of joy, vivid colors and of
course textures. I used the
Dahlia stencil to create a background with the modeling paste, then added some pieces of paper. I covered all my elements
with white gesso and white crackle paste, I dried it all. I stamped with black Archival Ink. I also used
beautiful chipboards, a script word “beauty” and butterfly wing. I finished
my canvas adding some colors and coffee staining. I hope you like it.

I
used two of the script words on my piece and I think that added the perfect

finishing touch. I can’t stop using those stars on everything.

Wings of Queen by Olga
Hello friends of UmWowStudio!
Today a little bit late but just from my crafty table hot delivery! ;) I have created a canvas 24x18 cm 9 1/2 x 7 1/8 inch with wonderful products of UmWowStudio and crazy technique from DeeDee!
So yesterday I have had a wonderful evening with Artists Live and DeeDee with amazing tags! DeeDee had showing the crazy things with stamps on a tissue.
My clue is, I put my stamp over the structure and highlighted the structure with gesso. So structure looks as transparent! Look at this! (sorry for to big pictures - the pictures are showing right colors only in original size ..)
