It's my life

Hello everyone,

and welcome to another project made with the lovely UmWow Chippies...
I have made an art journal page today and this is what it looks like :

And here's what I did with the chipboards:

I glued some of the Square Confetti pieces on a piece of Mixed Media Paper and gave them a coat of gesso.

Next I added some model paste through this UmWow Stencil.

This is what that looked like.

Next paint. I used Titan Buff and Translucent Yellow Iron Oxide by Deco Art.

Here's the result. I thinned the yellow down a little with water, applied it to the page and then spritzed it with water to get drips.

Next some Stabilo pencil to grunge it up a little...

Love the result...

And here is the finished page. I added some stamping and the main image was stamped on tissue paper and adhered with gel medium. I doodled around the edges of the page with a grey fine liner and that finished my project.

You can find the Square Confetti HERE

Dreamy days of Summer

Hello everyone,

and a warm welcome to my DT post. I have made a tag this time.

And here's what I did to the Chipboard:

This is the chipboard in it's natural state.

I decided just to colour it today. I used Faber Castell Pitt Artists Big Brush Pens.

This is what it looked like after colouring. I only used two shades of brown for the tops and two shades of green for the leaves.

Next I clear embossed it.

The finished article....

A close up of the tag which I treated with Acrylic paint (PaperArtsy - Sage) on the bottom and the right side.  I also added a little bit of stamping.

I added some dictionary text pieces: 'Dream' on the top and 'Summer' at the bottom.

I also wrapped some embroidery twine around the tag and added a sentiment from a PaperArtsy Stamp set.

Dreamers only

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing a really simple art journal page; all the time I just keep adding stuff and sometimes it is just nice to have something a little simpler. So that's what I did and it was quite difficult to do...

This is it and I must say I really like how it came out...

Here's what I did:

I used this chevron shape from the Doodle Mash set. (Link below)

I cut it in two pieces and adhered it to my  paper with gel medium.

Next a couple of layers of gesso.

I decided also to try something else today. Miss DeeDee always uses her Stabilo All pencil. I have had one for about 300 years and haven't really used it so today was the day !

First, paint, watered down and sprayed with water too to make it run.

Next I drew along the chevron with the pencil and used a brush to make it a little grungy... I like it.

And here is the finished page. I added a little stamping here and there. I used grey and black Archival inks and VivaLasVegaStamps.

..dance with fairies....

Hello everyone,

Corrie here, and today it is my turn to try and inspire you to use those fabulous UmWow Studio Chipboards. I have only used one in my Art Journal page but it is very effective !

I wanted to use similar colours to the background I have used, which is a gelli printed piece of paper.

So I used three different embossing powders but in the end I had to use some markers too to get it how I wanted it.

I added some green and later also some orange (no photo, sorry).

Better with a little green...

Here is the finished page again. I also used a stencil and first I used Carved Pumpkin distress ink to stencil the hearts but didn't like that too much so I wiped most of it off again. I then took my white pen, put the stencil back on and drew around the faint orange hearts; I do like the result.

I added some paper, lace ribbon, some stamped and cut out flowers and the little girl is also a stamp. Isn't that amazing. Looks like a photo, doesn't it. (All stamps used by VivaLasVegaStamps)

Here you can see the orange I added to the viewfinder. I used Pitt Big Brush markers for this because it dries permanent.

I love this sentiment !

I have used the vintage viewfinder; you find it HERE
