Travel the world

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my post where today I have made a tag.

This tag was made with a piece of pattern paper. I scraped gesso over it and then added some Glimmer Mist through the UmWow Dahlia stencil. Next I added some darker bits with a Stabilo All pencil and some water. After adding the washitape I glued on the Penny Farthing. I didn't think it needed anything doing to it. Lastly I added a sentiment which I made out of Chitchat stickers by Tim Holtz.

You will find the Penny Farthing HERE.

It's my life

Hello everyone,

and welcome to another project made with the lovely UmWow Chippies...
I have made an art journal page today and this is what it looks like :

And here's what I did with the chipboards:

I glued some of the Square Confetti pieces on a piece of Mixed Media Paper and gave them a coat of gesso.

Next I added some model paste through this UmWow Stencil.

This is what that looked like.

Next paint. I used Titan Buff and Translucent Yellow Iron Oxide by Deco Art.

Here's the result. I thinned the yellow down a little with water, applied it to the page and then spritzed it with water to get drips.

Next some Stabilo pencil to grunge it up a little...

Love the result...

And here is the finished page. I added some stamping and the main image was stamped on tissue paper and adhered with gel medium. I doodled around the edges of the page with a grey fine liner and that finished my project.

You can find the Square Confetti HERE

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone,

I was so happy when I was invited to join the Creative Team for the lovely DeeDee Catron's
Their chipboards are fabulous and so much fun to use with rubber stamps !   For my first post I have created an art journal page:

I started with a piece of manilla card stock and painted a layer of gesso on it. After that dried I painted over the gesso with some Silks. I used a blue and a green. It gives a lovely shimmer.
Because I thought it was not dark enough I used Distress Crayons over the top and sealed them with Distress Collage Medium, which is just gel medium I think. It makes the crayons go streaky which I liked. Next I used a Prima Marketing 'Finnabair' stencil called 'Bubbles' to create, well, the bubbles... lol. I used white paint and a blending tool for this.
I then used some VivaLasVegaStamps! to stamp the background and add some more interest. I used several colours of Archival Inks for this, always making sure they blend in.
The jar, jar label and sentiment are also rubber stamps by Viva Las VegaStamps!
The chipboards I were painted with gesso and coloured with Distress Crayons. I heat embossed both to add interest but also to make the Crayons permanent. I used a holographic powder for the fish and a clear powder for the seaweed.
After colouring everything I arranged it on the background until I was happy and glued everything down. Lastly I used a small piece of 7Dots Studio pattern paper (Destination Unknown by DeeDee Catron) at the bottom to make the sand at the bottom of the sea.

I have used these chipboard pieces:

Chevron Canvas by Jen

Hello everyone!! I have a little canvas project to share today.  I created this with a burlap covered canvas.
I added lots of fun UmWowStudio chip and miscellaneous pieces from my stash.   I wanted a gorgeous art decor with lots of circles and arrows.
First I glued down some of the items using a liquid permenant adhesive. I used an UmWowStudio Doilies, Gear MASH, Chevron Confetti and Button MASH for this project.
I covered it with a layer of Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gesso.  Once dry, I added some Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Whipped Spackle through an UmWowStudio Circle Confetti Stencil.
When dry, I went to town with some Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos® Colors in Metallic
Finally, I embellished with some glass beads mixed with gel medium and some bling and From The Heart flair!

And finally, an inspirational quote:  To the artist, EVERYTHING is possible!
