....my apologies!

Howdy UmWowStudio Fans....

I have been a BAD DT member this summer!

The summer began with a house clean out
and ended in a total house renovation.
I have been the "super", designer and painter extraordinaire!

....leaving me not time to create!

....my word for this summer!

BUT....
today I was inspired by a fellow Designer and #halfanhourcreate

so I told my mind to hush and I got to creating!

I began by pulling out a previously created tag

and picked up a few #tovers off my floor
(don't be hating on me!)

and let my creative juices go....

I then gathered a few items
 an ArtFoamie stamp 

and a bit of Glimmer Mist (left on my desk from a previous creative session)

 and a piece of paper mesh from my floor.

....and by golly 

there were a few packages of flowers on the floor, too!!
So, I altered them with various Tattered Angels colors.

I gathered up a piece of vintage curtian 

a bit of newly acquired fleece,

paper scraps
(yes, from my floor!!)

and a UmWowStudio chippie

Knobby Branch
(I was so happy to see it on my desk)

I put all the goodies together and
finished off my creation
with a FABULOUS quote from
Yvonne Blair/Impression Obsession.
(TOTALLY HOW I FEEL)

Hi UmWowStudio Fans...

Hope you are having a WONDERFUL DAY!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by the blog.

Today, I want to share with you a little creation I whipped up.

I had a few leftover pieces from some "made paper"

I created for another project.

So, I decided to pull out an unfinished Chunky ATC

and a few naked wood pieces.

Then, I painted them with Color Wash Paint.

When they were dry, I cut the "made paper" to size and 

adhered it to the Chunky ATC with Multi Medium.

I adhered the wood pieces together.

While it was drying I spritzed a flower with Glimmer Mist.

I also pulled out letters to spell "LOVE YOU" using

UmWowStudio ~ Alpha One

and spritzed them with Glimmer Mist.

I then pulled out one of the "leaves" from

UmWowStudio ~ Leafy Mash

and painted it with Color Wash.

Then I put it all together....

There is a lot of truth in the above verbage....
Can I say ~ LIFE can be rough!
But when life becomes difficult I find peace in CREATING!

I have acquired a few new supplies and 

immersed myself in trying them out.

I pulled out several of my UmWowStudio Stencils
Grid
Wonky Circle

Wheelie Mask

Hexagon Confetti 

and my new Gel Press
along with some paint.

I created A LOT of prints
which I chose to tear up and apply

randomly to my artboard.

Then I pulled out a jar of Light & Fluffy

and applied it randonly through

UmWowStudio ~ Wonky Circles.

When it was dry, I dropped a bit of Orange

 onto my canvas with a pipette.

Spritzed it with a bit of water to help the color move.

When it was dry I applied a layer of

Vintage Distress Medium.

I brayered on a bit of Spun Sugar

onto one of the Circle Salad stamps

and applied it randomly onto my canvas.

I then applied a layer of

White Gesso over the entire canvas.

I then mixed a bit Multi Medium Matte

with a few Prills and applied randomly to the canvas.

I repeated the technique of dropping a bit of

Caspian Sea onto the canvas and spritzing with water.

I chose the UmWowStudio chippie

Gears Background

which I cut in half to go under my flower cluster.

I also cut up UmWowStudio chippie

Large Ivy

and added into my flower cluster.

I finished up my canvas with a quote ~ Great Things

which I stamped onto a piece of TissueStock

and applied it to my canvas.

I have a fun little project I created.

I was digging around in my 'tovers pile

and found a strip of paper I had created.

I had adhered a piece of burlap to a piece of Kraft paper

and I had stenciled on the paper with

UmWowStudio ~ Wonky Circle Stencils

Seemed like this was a good place to start!

I love trying new things so I pulled out a few of my

new Baked Textures and embossed it onto my "paper"!

When I was done playing with color on my paper

I cut it up into ATC's.

I then pulled out my bag of UmWowStudio pieces parts.

I decided to use the "leftovers" from the

UmWowStudio ~ Home Grown Mash

To make the chippies even better, 

I pulled out a dollop of Modeling Paste and mixed in a bit of

beach sand to add MORE texture.

I repeated the technique using

UmWowStudio ~ Layered Hexagons

I also smeared a bit of the left over "texture" onto the ATC's.

When my newly textured chippies were dry,

I painted them with a bit of Glam

then I gave them a spritz of water to mix the color up.

I put my ATC's together

and adhered them to a piece of barn board.
