Find Peace

There is a lot of truth in the above verbage....
Can I say ~ LIFE can be rough!
But when life becomes difficult I find peace in CREATING!

I have acquired a few new supplies and 

immersed myself in trying them out.

I pulled out several of my UmWowStudio Stencils
Grid
Wonky Circle

Wheelie Mask

Hexagon Confetti 

and my new Gel Press
along with some paint.

I created A LOT of prints
which I chose to tear up and apply

randomly to my artboard.

Then I pulled out a jar of Light & Fluffy

and applied it randonly through

UmWowStudio ~ Wonky Circles.

When it was dry, I dropped a bit of Orange

 onto my canvas with a pipette.

Spritzed it with a bit of water to help the color move.

When it was dry I applied a layer of

Vintage Distress Medium.

I brayered on a bit of Spun Sugar

onto one of the Circle Salad stamps

and applied it randomly onto my canvas.

I then applied a layer of

White Gesso over the entire canvas.

I then mixed a bit Multi Medium Matte

with a few Prills and applied randomly to the canvas.

I repeated the technique of dropping a bit of

Caspian Sea onto the canvas and spritzing with water.

I chose the UmWowStudio chippie

Gears Background

which I cut in half to go under my flower cluster.

I also cut up UmWowStudio chippie

Large Ivy

and added into my flower cluster.

I finished up my canvas with a quote ~ Great Things

which I stamped onto a piece of TissueStock

and applied it to my canvas.

Hope all is WELL!

I recently have gone back to my creative roots....
and created 2 scrapbook pages.
I began the process by printing out bunch photos family photos.
I was drawn to pictures from my daughter's wedding.

My first choice was to create a page
of a special moment with my daughter.

I then went to my stash of  UmWowStudio chippies
to find one I thought would go well.
I chose one from my
Signature Collection with UmWowStudio

Large Ivy

I found one of UmWowStudio's word chippies

Adore

The ABSOLUTE PERFECT accents!

Something Old, Something New

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

I painted the UmWowStudio ~ Large Ivy with a bit of Glimmer Glam.

I chose to keep the UmWowStudio chippie ~ Adore natural.

Here is the other layout I created using another of
my Favorite photos from that special day!

I pulled out UmWowStudio chippie ~ Leafy Branch
from my Signature collection.

I painted the chippie with a bit of green paint

and cut it apart to nestle into my flowers.

it's an Art Journal kind of day

Hi UmWowStudio Fans....

THANK YOU for stoppin' by the blog today!

I decided to pull out my Art Journal
and have some FUN!

In my UmWowStudio stash I have a bag

of pieces parts from various chippies

PUZZLE MASH

STAR CONFETTI

GEARS MASH

I applied the pieces parts to my journal page.

When dry, I applied a layer of medium through

Wonky Circle Stencil

When dry I covered the whole page with

clear gesso.

Then, I let the coloring begin.

I spritzed the entire page with mist.

Then, I used a pipette to drop

color onto the page.

Next, I mixed Prills with

a bit of medium and applied randomly

to the page.

Lastly, I splattered on a bit of white gesso.

I pulled out UmWowStudio

LARGE IVY

 and SMALL IVY

and painted on a bit of gesso.

When dry, I colored the Ivy.

I put it all together to finish my page.

UmWowStudio New Release

Hi UmWowStudio Fans.....

I am SOOO EXCITED to announce 

UmWowStudio and I have partnered as part of

their Signature Series!

The new release consists of 6 Nature inspired chipboard designs.

And today I am excited to share my first creation with YOU!

One thing I LOVE about UmWowStudios chipboard it is extra thick

and able to take most anything you throw at it.

I began by choosing my UmWowStudio Knobby Branch

Then I applied a layer of Crackle Paste.

When dry I spritzed with Glimmer Mist and splattered

with Glimmer Glam.

I wasn't a hundred percent happy with the look

so I rubbed on a bit of StazOn.

When dry....I cut the my UmWowStudio Knobby Branch apart.

(Don't be afraid....it's OK! I designed them to be cut apart)

Next I pulled out UmWowStudios ~ Grid Stencil

and applied a bit of Clear Gesso

onto a Natural Stretched Canvas.

I then pulled out the my UmWowStudio ~ Large Ivy

I applied a layer of Glimmer Glam to both sides

of the UmWowStudio ~ Large Ivy

Then I cut the Large Ivy apart and bent the leaves.

When the stenciled image was dry,

I applied a bit of color.

It wouldn't be me if my creation didn't "say something"!
