Vole by Magali Le Luc

Happy to see you here today!
I want to show you my last creation made with 7dots papers and the fantastic UWS products.
As you are now used to see it, I love to leave the chipboards in their natural colors. I simply LOVE their natural wood color.
Here are some close ups, which will help you to see how I layered the different elements in this layout. I choose a sepia picture to keep consistency with the natural color of the chipboards.
Have you seen these wonderful chevrons? They can be perfectly layered to create your own personal effect.
You may have noticed a doily too... I cut it into two parts and place it at the top and bottom of the picture. As my title means "FLY", I added a little butterfly as a reminder of it. I've also used the bee card from 7dots Studio.
See, the doily here...
Here are the products I used:

Go LARGE with your UWS Chipboard Shapes!

Hello and Happy Thursday!

Tina here today with a project that is living LARGE!

The Ray Background Chip is one of my UWS favorites!  I have used it on several layouts and you just might see it again in the future.  It's one of those chips that is extremely versatile and is just the perfect touch for any project.

For this layout, I wanted the Chip to be the main embellishment on the page, so the balance of my layout is basically patterned paper and stickers.

I painted the Ray Background chip with a quick coat of gesso, then embossed the entire piece with chucking embossing powder.  It looks simply divine!

Sometimes the simplest technique is the most effective.

I adhered a few of my glittered Butterfly Confetti pieces left over from a previous project for a pop of color and glitz!

So next time you want a BOLD statement on a layout, go LARGE!  :)

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week!

Guest CT : Aneta {A tag and canvas}

Today I have a couple of FABULOUS bits of eye candy to show you from a Guest Creative Team member..

ANETA:

“I am 37 years old, Polish, and I have been living in Iceland for 13 years. I work as an Icelandic teacher.
My scrapbooking fascination started about 4 years ago but I have been deeply preoccupied with that for the last two years.
I love light pastels, vintage and shabby chic, nevertheless I feel comfortable in any pattern. In my case everything is dependent on the kind of paper I can see on my desk, the topic of a card and finally my mood . I can describe myself as a “card-making girl ” but I love to discover new things and I think is changing lately. Working with NATURE WALK and UmWow Studio products was a fantastic adventure. DeeDee thank you so much for making this dream come true! “

!! You are so welcome Aneta :) thank you so much for displaying our products in your GORGEOUS creations. !!

You can find Aneta's blog here.

And today she's sharing a canvas and a tag with us using lots of UmWowStudio and the Nature Walk collection by 7 Dots Studio :

Love & Kisses, Mini Canvas Style!

Hello and Happy Friday!

Tina here today with a mini canvas, full of texture, whimsy, and fun!

Mini canvases are SO much fun to make, especially when you have fun bits and pieces just laying around, begging to be used.

I had originally created the mini Card ATC from an Art Journal swap I'm participating in.  It has been laying on my desk, just waiting to be used in a fun project.

Along came my mini canvas.

To begin, I added background texture with the Diamond Confetti Mask and Grunge Paste.  (don't forget the sides of your canvas - they need texture/color too)

Once the Grunge paste is dry, I added several colors of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, allowing them to blend.  Isn't that gorgeous texture?

Now to prep my other UWS chipboard pieces.  I applied a layer of gesso to create a white base.

I am using a section of the Grid Border chip, and Butterfly Confetti chip.  (one of my favorites)

Once they were dry, I began embellishing each piece.

I embossed the Grid Border chip with several colors of embossing powder and a spritz or two of spray mist.  You can totally transform a raw piece of chipboard into a work of art.

I covered each Butterfly Confetti chip with Glossy Accents and added glitter.  Yum!

I glued everything down, and VIOLA!  Done - - Just like that!

So next time you are looking for a fast and easy project, think Mini Canvas.  Pull out your favorite UWS Chipboard and Masks and CREATE!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!
