Today we have CHRISSY up first with this amazing mini using the Curiosity collection by Authentique.

Chrissy says "Here's a book I made for my son so that he learns to set goals. The book was super easy to make and Authentique's "Curiousity" 6x6 pad was perfect. Add some Geekery Flair and Star Confetti for the perfect finishing touches and you have a cute little daily reminder to carry in a book bag or purse."

Next up is a 12x12 by Jess Mutty:

Jess Says: I used the two lovely lines from Authentique: Be(you)tiful and Blissful. They coordinate perfectly with each other and happen to be focused on one of my favorite color combos, gray and yellow. They were also the perfect choice to use for this photo of my little fashionista in her gray and yellow market skirt.

Of course the touch of pink adds just the right amount of girly, along with sweet UmWowStudio confetti hearts, love speech bubbles, and the cute polka dot flair from The 2 of Us set. That's a lot of love!

The speech bubbles and heart confetti are a match made in heaven for this little cluster above my photo. I love them!

UWS products:
Symbol Mash Chip
Heart Confetti
The 2 of Us Flair
Love Speech Bubbles

Other products:
Paper, diecuts - Authentique

and finally I bring you a card today:
I used the Tradition Collection by Authentique + the Squirrel chip from UmWowStudio. The Snowflakes at the top are a sneak peek at some new confetti coming soon!!

Now! Hope over to the Authentique Blog and then get to making your OWN papercraft using Authentique + UmWowStudio to win a prize package full of both!

Door Shrine {Gauche Alchemy | UmWowStudio Swap}

Hello Friends!!! Welcome to the LAST day of our UmWowStudio and Gauche Alchemy swap!

Gauche Alchemy is a mixed media kit company that specialized in the most amazing themed kits of vintage ephemera and mixed media supplies. They also offer mixed media supplies sold separately, like washi tape, specialty papers, punchinella and more!
Gauche Alchemy : Site | Store | Facebook

From Chrissy : I am a huge fan of shrines and altars so I just absolutely love these awesome door shrines. And guess what, UmWowStudio's unique, trendy, and cutting edge chippies are the perfect accents for them!

To give my shrine that aged look happened purely by accident. I used a coarse paint brush and dabbed on modeling paste. I wanted to give it a rusty kind of look so I used some Real Rust embossing powder and noticed that when I set it with the heat tool, the modeling paste scorched a bit. What do ya know! Instant aging!

What's a shrine without something to go inside?

I used an old wine label from Gauche Alchemy's Ephemera Variety pack and applied it to the back wall using Mod Podge and old music pages, also from the Ephemera Variety Pack, for the walls and ceiling. Once again, it wasn't "old" looking enough so once the top seal of Mod Podge dried, I brushed some distress ink onto it and used some star punchinellla as a mask. I also applied the punchinella masking over the outside of the shrine as well.

For my little vase, I used a old glass apothecary bottle from a previous Gauche Alchemy kit. The UWS Star Confetti is just divine. I jazzed them up a bit with some embossing powders and glued them to the bottle. I made the wings using resin and a mold and the little owl is from the Banana Hammock Color Kit. Glue some burlap string, fill with pretty glitter and sprays of whatever and call it done!

Thanks for taking a peek!

A Super Cute mini album {By Chrissy}

Afternoon :) Chrissy has a super fun and super bright mini album to share with us today! I'll let her take over from here:

Hi folks!  I am so excited to be working with DeeDee and the rest of the talented gang here at UmWowStudio.

I have a mini album to share with you today.  I made this for my niece and since she is such a ham, I wanted to use fun and bright colors.

Here's the inside of the album

Want to see what I did with the fabulous chipboard?  The butterfly on the cover is pretty straightforward.  I left the layers as they were meant to be then painted the top layer with gesso and applied a fine iridescent glitter.

For this butterfly, I applied a coat of gesso then sprayed it with some Color Shine in "Georgia Peach".  When it was almost dried, I added a layer of glass bead gel.

For the floral embellishment, I decided to try and layer a couple different mediums.  The base layer is gesso then acrylic paint.  Once the paint was dried, I added blue glitter onto the flowers.  Here's where the fun is.  For the stems, I added a layer or Bombay India Ink.  Talk about color enhancement!

This star looks really cool.  It looks like it's covered in lace but it's not. That is washi tape!  I just taped over the star then trimmed the edges.

Can you tell I love playing with the chipboard?  There's really so many ways to alter it.  Just dive in and get messy!
