Summer canvas by Magali

Hi there,

I am really happy to be here for a new term with you and I hope you'll love my next creations.
Today, I want to share a little canvas, it's the first one I show you here.
It's about 6x6 inches and 2 inches thick.

The quote is from Albert Einstein.

I always liked this quote and a friend of mine recently give me a mug with it... I found it very inspiring. Here is my process...
For the background I used Gelatos from Faber Castell, I love the bright colors they offer. I've drawn some circles creating an ombré effect. Then, I applied water with a brush, to soften the effect.

I added the lettering with Decoupage glue.
I coloured my bicycle with black ink pad, just pressing the pad on the chipboard. I love the fact that the natural color of the chipboard is still visible. I did the same with the flowers.
For the last part of the quote, I used a dymo label maker. I also added some stamps on the edges.
After adding some iRESISTible ink splashes, here is the final result.

And here are the UWS I used:

And other products: DoodleBug letters, Dymo

Whitewash your chipboard!

Hellloooo :)

DeeDee here, today! Don't worry, soon enough we'll have some super fab new designers posting projects and bits all over the blog. I can't believe the talent that was interested in joining our team, and I can't wait to introduce you to each new member! Stay tuned :)

for NOW -- I want to share with you a recent project I did and a quick tutorial in video format on giving your UmWowStudio chipboard a quick ... "muting" ... as in making the gorgeous kraft color of our board a bit lighter and easier on the eyes. We are slowly but surely adding products and materials to our website that will and are great to use with our products, like the Golden Gesso.

let me start by showing you the project:

This tag can be found on my personal blog, as well as the Scrapki-wyzwaniowo challenge site, so graciously sponsored by 7 Dots Studio

And here is a closeup of the look we'll be achieving for our chipboard.

You can get all the details in the following video, just grab your Nature Walk Floral Collection chipboard and some Golden Gesso

I also gave everything else on the tag a nice brush of gesso to help tie it all together. The Golden gesso is just perfect for that because it's so thin. Stay tuned for more tutorials, and other types of gesso, too!
