Baby Shower Layout =)
I've of course been needing to do a layout on our Baby Shower... so here it is. It's based off of the sketch @ SketchyThursdays - I tilted it to the side and instead of pasting down photos made a pocket for TONS of photos to slide into behind the main one.

The colors didn't come out exactly as planned... but there are tons of stuff I love about this layout....
The pocket of photos
My brand new punch that makes edges look torn out of a notebook.
The punchinella stencil and the doodling
The journaling.. first time I've tried this sort and I think I like it!

Products used: FancyPants paper, EP sticker, Distress ink, random satin ribbon I dyed myself, sewing machine/thread, black pen, bingo card, 7gypsies punch, Art blanche chipboard, dymo label maker.

CC Challenge 5 - Trying out 4 Cirque du soGABE
I'm feeling pretty good about most of these entries!!
# five was a scraplift challenge - to find a scrap layout by someone on CC and adopt it for your own use. The rules were to change 3 specific things, but that inspiration had to be pretty recognizable.
I chose a layout titled BFFs by the user luckysmom on CC.
I loved the large title, and the paper with the huge pattern, eliminating a lot of embellishments. I also liked the large square that created the focal point for her photos and journaling.
And I've had this cirque du soleil idea in my head for a while.. then A Few Of My Favorite Things had a "Sports" Challenge... SOOOO Here's my interpretation:
Used: FancyPants paper, Lime rickey by BG, random ribbons, pins by MM, random buttons and tickets, Zebra wire, Art Blanche chipboard, black uni ball pen, adhesive, distress ink, and dymo label maker.

CC Challenge - R is for Read
The project was a layout based on this ad, and if you're not already participating I'd suggest so, so far the challenges have been super fun!
Besides the grid layout of the ad I loved the subtle areas that parts of the ad overlapped the grid, here's my interpretation:
I used mostly BasicGrey's Lime Rickey collection, with a black pen, some adhesive, distress ink, and photo corners.
