J'aime les oiseaux by Magali

Summer is here!!

What's your favorite activity in Summer?
For several years now, I've been used to watch birds. I love how different and colorful they can be, and I must say we are lucky that there are so many different species in the neighborhood.
I decided to do a layout about this relatively new hobby in my life. But instead of using a picture of them (and I have tons of them!), I decided to use a picture of me! :)
The title means "I love birds"!

The tiny houses MASH are now my favorite Um Wow Studio product. And they fit so perfectly with the theme of bird houses. As usual, I decided to keep them natural...
Here is my layout...

Good Evening/Morning!

Hope all is well in your crafty space :) Today I'm showing off my latest May Arts challenge submission (Which I'm also using to throw my name into the Hobby Baby design team call hat featured HERE on their blog!)

We were sent the cutest set of brightly colored ribbons to work with, and I had INTENDED to make more of a topiary piece... however one of Bethney's Ribbonistas beat me to it.. so I went with this instead :)

It's the cutest little sit on my mantle home decor piece ever! The nest is actually a large sponge that I carved out in the shape of a nest. I covered it with moss from the dollar store.. and got some eggs on sale after Easter from Michaels. I cut my ribbon into small pieces and wrapped it around my three eggs. Tied a couple bows, too! The banner is hanging from a couple of spare pencils with wooden beads.. and is made from KnCo paper which has been distressed on the edges. The HOME is from a set of smooth chipboard thickers. They came that gorgeous green color :)

Can't wait to see what HobbyBaby has to offer in it's upcoming remodel!

12x12 "Quite the pair"

(If you're looking for the CropChocolate blog hop please scroll down!!)

This layout was done for a gal who commissioned 6 layouts for her album.. she does yearly photos of her and her husband. I'll show them one at a time throughout the next few days.

Products used:

BoBunny Gabrielle paper, Bobunny Gabrielle chipboard adhesive pieces, Art Blanche alphas, vintage buttons, vintage lace, baker's twine, Heritage cricut cartridge, recycled chipboard, vintage photo distress stain, embossing folder, Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

I got the inspiration from this partly from a page I did previously.. but more from the BoBunny inspiration for the Layout Challenge this month.. I took inspiration from the divided window, the turquoise tan and coral colors, and the banner which I ended up turning into a line of rolled paper pieces.

Looks like I missed the link up so I'll just post on their FB page :)
