Hello!

It is wiosanka today with another layout made of Nature Walk collection and amazing chipboards, flair and mask from UmWowStudio :-)

My project is about my younger son - Tomek, and his adventure with climbing :-)

I love the background effect that appears when I put gesso through Circle Confetti Mask :-) I think it fits excellent not only to the boyish pages ;-)

 I also used Gear Mash - I just love them! And Soar Tag altered with some different mists.

Do You love flairs as much as I do? The flairs from UmWowStudio are very special - they're big but quite flat and that's why they're great for layouts :-)

#UWSbigbash Day 5

It's Day 5 -- our last and final day to celebrate our big bash!

Day 3 two more girls shared some beautiful celebration themed projects and we had a huge giveaway package from UmWowStudio, Paper Issues and Authentique.

 

Day 4 showcased 2 more projects by the Creative Team and a prize from UmWowStudio, 7 Dots Studio and Gauche Alchemy Kits.

Happy Birthday UmWowStudio! Congrats on your First Year! Let’s get this party started!

Moose, my French Bulldog is also excited for the Birthday party to begin, so he grabbed his Photo Booth Props and took some photos. ;) Here’s a little layout I created especially for the Birthday Bash! To create my Birthday Bash layout, I wanted to create a background FULL of texture. So, I grabbed some leftover wax medium, one of my favorite UWS chipboard pieces, Damaged Punchinella and began. I poured the melted wax directly on my chipboard background and immediately pressed sections of the Damaged Punchinella chip into the wax. I let the wax cool a bit (a minute or so), then carefully removed the chip. The chip remained mostly in-tact, and I repeated this step several times across my background.

Once the wax completely hardened, I applied Magicals (powdered mica), from Lindy’s Stamp Gang to the wax and built up several layers of color. In addition, I painted the sections of used chip with Distress Paint and adhered them in place. The positive and negative from the Punchinella chip created a great background, full of texture, color, and dimension. To complete the festive theme, I colored several pieces of the Photo Booth Prop chip collection and accessorized my photo’s. Moose is definitely in the Birthday Party spirit!

After this very long winter I would say it is hard to "celebrate" but with some cute new Celebrate Banner Pocket Chipboard pieces from UmWowStudio I was very inspired to do an insert on celebrating both winter and family. I used some Distress Paint on some of the Banner Mash pieces, but mostly I just left them be to stand out on my page. Adding some of the Star Confetti with some sequins to the middle of my design in a shaker pockets gave the layout gave the whole page just the touch it needed to draw the whole celebrating theme together. I also used some Sidewalk Chalk flair and a stencil to bring it all together. It was such a fun way to say Happy Birthday Um Wow Studio!

Welcome to DAY FOUR of our #UWSbigbash!

Take a Chance:

I was such a lucky girl to get to work with the new tunnel tag book, and I added a funky steampunk twist to it. I started with the full back page, using a photo of a Victorian girl. I have a process video to show how I created the background, using blended gelatos, and layers of gears from the gear mash set. I think she looks like she's ready to party 2014 style now...or at least to travel to meet us!

I layered the following graduated pages with lovely papers and stickers from 7 Dots Studio's Nature Walk collection, as well as more gears, fibers, flair from the Moon Shine set, and little bits of star confetti. I topped it off with a pair of fun glasses (with my eyes behind them), from the new photo booth props set!

I'm super happy with how this came out, and caNOT wait to give another tunnel tag book a try!!

Happy 1st Birthday, UmWowStudio...I'm so happy I've been blessed to be on this trip with you! ......And many more!!!

For creating red background I have used Shimmerz Red Dimensionz, which I diluted with water. When it dried I applied Red PanPastel using Hexagon Stencil from UWS. The background was ready.

I decided to alter a beautiful Heart String chipboard using white and orange embossing powder. I clustered UmWowStudio flair with some Prima flowers and some thread. The card is ready, so let's celebrate!!!

#UWSbigbash Day 2

Let's move forward with our fabulous week o' celebration!!

Day 1 this week started off with an introduction to some of our brand new products! And today we're sharing some beautiful inspiration by our talented design team and a giveaway... but first: 

Up today is Manda with two superb celebration themed cards>

Birthday Card:

For this card I used the Banner Mash. I painted the larger pieces in gold and then inked the smaller pieces with my chalk edger then topped them with some enamel dots. The background was made using the Star Confetti Mask which I inked with my Versa Mark ink pad and then embossed in white. Next I took my distress inks and a dauber to give it a rainbow hue. 

Make A Wish Card:

I made this little card into a filler card for my Project Life album. To start off I covered the Make A Wish Pocket Chip card with gesso, then I used a mixture of Gelatos to give it an ombre wash. Next I took some of the Star Confetti and covered with Versa Mark and embossed with gold embossing powder.

And Miae with the most adorable personalized little card:

Spring is coming

Hallo :) Anai here.
Today I'd like to show you my first spring layout made with UmWowStudio products.

When I saw the "Nature Walk" collection for the first time I fell in love with this gorgeous paper with wooden pattern.
I decided to add a little bit of color to the design. I used pastel paper from another 7 Dots Studio Collection - "Illumination". I also used some paints and beautiful pink glitter. 

One of my favourite masks from UmWowStudio is this Chevron design. It looks amazing and adds some movement to the layout.

Once again I added a lot of media to our chipobards. You can find here some white acrylic paint, Silks and Twinkling H2O's, Glossy Accents and tranparent crackle paint. This chipboards are thick and great for mixed-media techniques!

I love all kinds of splashes and some glamourous shine in my works. Glitter just always makes me happy!
"Nature Walk" is very neutral collection with a vintage feeling, but as you can see it's very easy to add color to it and make it more girly :D

So Serious

Hey everyone, Manda here and I am so excited to be doing my first post as part of the Um Wow Design Team. My two favourite embellishments to use are chipboard and flair so I am in heaven playing with goodies from the store. 

For this layout I started by making my background using some yellow mist and then the line of chevrons mask. I wanted a fairly crisp outline on the chevron shapes so I used a Prima chalk edge inker to colour the masks, these are my ink of choice for edging and I find they work great on masks too because of the small size and pointed end. 

One of the reasons I love chipboard so much is because the ease of altering it to suit your project, in this case my colour scheme of yellow and grey looked good with the natural chipboard but the sepia photo got a bit lost so I again used my chalk inker to colour the Large Love This Polaroid Frame and also the pieces I used on the page including the Heart Confetti and Everyday Speech Bubbles.

I wanted to repeat the mask pattern so I used some of the chevrons from the Arrow Title Mash and finished the page with a flair from the Mustard 29 Flair collection. To finish off page I mounted it on black cardstock and used a fine black marker to add a hand drawn border around the page and the mounted picture.

Destiny Is Calling {Card & Video}

Hello UWS Fans♥ DeeDee here today with a card and a tutorial. 

But first, I want to tell you we've got our one year Birthday coming up next week... and if you've been following us on our Social Media channels you'll know we've got some GREEEEEEAT stuff planned. Pocket chip. Prizes. Mini Books. Giveaways. Challenges. Inspiration. Celebration deliciousness!! So join us back here Monday for that! (And every day until then for goodness, too!)

Now.. back to our regularly scheduled program. When I started with this card it was intended for a Christmas Call from a magazine... low and behold it neither fit their criteria or even was a Christmas card by the end, lol,.

This card features the Nature Walk collection from 7 Dots Studio with a splattering of Tarnished Silver mist by Tattered Angels.  Lots of Prima embellishments like the Love Handles, flowers, silver tinsel, engraver brad and Bark Star. In the background I've stamped the French Writing BG and Coffee Ring stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps!. 

I used the Destiny Is Calling Flair from the Moon Shine set and the Chipboard Star Confetti by UmWowStudio. You can see in the following video how I altered the chipboard to match my card:

And here you can see the super cool new sequins I got! These are from Pretty Pink Posh, and I adore them as a little splash o' clear goodness.
