A Cozy Fall Tag

Hello and happy Sunday to all you wonderful UmWowStudio fans! It's Amy here to share a sweet tag I made to celebrate the arrival of fall here in the USA....and along with this glorious season comes scarves and jackets, and bundling up to enjoy cider and hay rides. I wanted to take a stamped image of a girl all bundled for fall, and doll it up with fabulous UmWowStudio products.

I started with layering paint onto my tag, and then layering stenciling, using the Harlequin Mask and Circle Confetti Mask. I next layered on plenty of papers, trims and tapes, and stamped and mounted my stamped image, using 3D foam tape.

After adding the Prima flower at the top of the tag, along with some leaves, an UmWowStudio Leaf Stem was just the ticket to an elegant look, and sprinklings of Star Confetti across the top and middle gave a lot of interest.

Finally, I added the Alpha One letters to spell "cozy fall" at the bottom of the tag. These letters are the perfect delicate size for a tag project like this. I'm so happy with the outcome!

Thanks so much for having a look at my tag, and I hope you all have a lovely rest of the weekend!
~Amy

Believe- Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Believe, Full, ALLassiter Hello and welcome to the UmWowStudio blog today! It's Amy here to share some inspiration made with some wonderful UmWowStudio goodies. believe top stenciling I started by pulling this paper from Fab Scraps out of my Scraps of Darkness August kit, and for a bit of a change, I layered up my papers before painting and inking my background. After adding plenty of paint to the background, I used the circle confetti mask and some gesso to create those "bubbles" randomly around the paper and photo. I also painted over the top of those with watercolor.
believe top stenciling2 whole For some upward and downward movement, I stenciled with black ink over the damask mask, and added more splashes of paint and liquid inks over the page, before doing my final embellishing. believe bottom right corner I adore how the new chipboard flourishes (2) are just swirls of beautiful, as naked chipboard; but I also knew they would make lovely realistic moving vines if I added some mist and paint. The way they lead the eye around just tickles me pink. ;)
Thank you SO much for having a look today. I hope you were inspired!

Discover Hidden Creatures

creature, allassiter, UWS full Hello! It's Amy here today, to share a layout I made, with a fun, whimsical and lighthearted feel!just imagine, stenciling
I started by creating my background with mists and watercolors/watercolor pencils. I laid down the harlequin mask, and used black ink to give some contrast. To give some texture, I used the checkerboard mask, and rubbed on some 13 Arts gesso (it's nice and textural/substantial) using my fingers. Adding watercolor over the gesso (once dry) gave a little splash of color as well.

gnome and reeds
After layering up some papers and fibers, I began to embellish. I painted the cat tails chipboard pieces, adding some moss underneath for a natural look, as well as flowers and the beautiful embellishments, like the dragonflies and bird nest. All of these (and the papers) were in July's Scraps of Darkness kit, "Believe."

flowers and reeds I love how this layout shows my quirkiness (I painted myself as a fox for Halloween last year), and my love for gnomes and other great fantasy woodland creatures. :) Thanks for having a look today, and lots of artsy crafty gnome sparkle blessings are being sent to you! Loves, Amy
