Keeping it simple....

Hey Peeps....
Things here in Northern New Hampshire
are turning towards FALL!
(I'm not sure I'm ready for it!!)

I'm been doing a lot of traveling lately
so today I'm keeping things a bit simple!

I had a Chunky ATC that I covered
with a grey wood a while back,
and it's been sitting around collecting dust.

I had a few pieces of peeled paper from
an image transfer I had done, so,
I adhered them to my chunky ATC
and covered it all with Multi Medium!

I pulled out UmWowStudio's
Wonky Circle Stencil and a bit of texture medium.

When dry I spritzed with a bit of Glimmer Mist
and rubbed on a bit of Stucco to add another layer
of color and texture.

I had a tad bit of the
UmWowStudio's Distressed Harlequin

left over from another project
so I sprayed it with glimmer mist,
pounded on it with a hammer
and painted on a layer of Multi Medium
to keep it from bleeding.

I added a few flowers, a bit of vintage lace and twine
and a quote....
and my Chunky ATC is good to go!

I think I will wrap this up and ship it off to a
friend that I am sooo happy is in my life!

HOPE you have a WONDERFUL creative Day!!

Choose your OWN path by Lynne

I am sooo excited to be posting today!!

THANK YOU for stopping by to take a peek...
to see how I created this greeting card.

I began my card by cutting strips of
a "paper" I made by adhering various strips
Tissuestock and vintage curtain pieces
to a piece of handmade chipboard.

I applied the strips to the card face and
spritzed the entire card with mist.

I then pulled out my box of UmWowStudio chippies
and chose
which I cut in half.

I then painted the chippie with gesso.

When dry, I spritzed it with mist.
LOVE how the color dried in the "pockets".

Next I pulled out a few pieces from the UmWowStudio

I globbed on some paint to color
the flourishes.

While my UmWowStudio chippies were drying
I started working on the rest...
I colored a few flowers,
and stapled a piece of chicken wire to my card.

I chose a bit of verbage to finish off my card.

a few more pictures....

Once again.....THANK BUNCHES for stopping by!!!!

Stay True to your HEART by Lynne

Hi UmWowStudio Fans!!!
Thank you sooo much for stopping
by the blog today!!

I had a LOT OF FUN with this little project....
my Chunky ATC.

I began with a piece of wood
cut to 2.5" x 3.5"
I painted all the edges black and
while waiting for the paint to dry....
I cut a 3.5" strip of
7 Dots Studio ~ Homegrown ~ Attic
from the strip I cut
(2) 2.5" x 3.5"
(2) 1.5"x 3.5"
(2) 1.5" x 2.5"
When the black paint was dry
I distressed the edges of the paper
and adhered them to the Chunky ATC.

I applied a layer of texture medium through
UmWowStudio's Handwriting Stencil
randomly all over the ATC.
When dry I spritzed the entire ATC with mist.
While still wet, I dug at the paper
exposing the core.

I painted one UmWowStudio's ~ Leaf Stems with paint.

I spritzed a piece of cheese cloth with mist.

I applied a layer of Gesso to my ATC
with a palette knife.

From here I began put my Chunky ATC together.
I tied a piece of red jute around the ATC
with a loopy bow in the front.

For accent I added a metal corner.

I tucked the colored cheese cloth
behind the jute.

I cut apart the UmWowStudio ~ Leaf Stem
and tucked it behind the flowers.

My creation just wouldn't be complete
with out some verbage.
I pulled out 7 Dot Studios ~ Homegrown ~ Word Stickers
and picked some words that spoke to my heart!

I hope you enjoy my creative journey.
Once again.....THANK YOU for stopping by!

Guest Creative Team Member : Nadia Cannizzo

Today we have the super talented Nadia Cannizzo joining us, I'm sure glad we nabbed her up before she got so busy! She's now sitting pretty on Prima Marketing's Design Team as well as the 7 Dots Studio Design Team. Thanks for being a guest, Nadia!!

A bit about Nadia:
Hi my name is Nadia Cannizzo, I am of Greek origin, a primary school teacher , 35 and together with my husband of 15 years we live in the suburbs of beautiful Sydney Australia raising our 3 young daughters.
I started creating cards about 7 years ago and moved on to scrapbooking about 5 years ago. I have had my ups and downs through out my creative journey  but have stuck it out and this is the longest hobby I have ever had. Well.. it is more than a hobby I must admit. It is what I call therapy. From the thrill I get when something new arrives at my doorstep, to the incredible people I have met online, I can definitely credit this "hobby" with getting me through some very difficult times.
It is always a pleasure to discover new manufacturers and UmWowStudio is one of my favourites right now so I am very excited to be here to share with you a project I created with UmWowStudio products. Thank you DeeDee for having me :)
Please stop by my blog some time : Just My Scrapping World
