Spring has SPRUNG!

The trees are sporting their baby leaves.
The animals are titterpated and

the birds are busy building their nests.
And FINALLY the sun has come out!

So, I thought embellishing a
Birdhouse would be apropos!
I began by covering my entire birdhouse
with white gesso.

I then cut paper to fit the sides of the birdhouse.

I then pulled out my
UmWowStudio Damask Stencil
and applied a bit of texture medium
through it.

When dry, I adhered the papers
to my birdhouse.
I spritzed my birdhouse and a bit of
vintage ric rack with a mist.

I applied a layer of texture medium to
a chippie for the
UmWowStudio Floral Collection
and then colored it with a bit o glam and mist.

I accented the
UmWowStudio Button Mash
with a bit of glam.

I had covered the roof with pieces of
decorative wood but I felt it needed something more.

So, I pulled out my
UmWowStudio ~ Grid stencil
and applied a bit of texture medium through it.

When dry I spritzed it all with a bit of mist.

Now, you know my birdhouse needed to
say something.
So, I chose a stamp, stamped it,
cut it out.

Here are a few closeups of my finished Birdhouse.

Do you see the little piece of the
UmWowStudio ~ Grid Border??

I hope you enjoyed my piece of Spring....

Our Mixed Media Moods March Challenge

Hi UmWowStudio Fans....
It's me...Lynne!

For my post I decided I would play along
with our Fearless Leader's challenge.....
Our Mixed Media Moods

And just in time for this challenge was the arrival
of a package of goodies from UmWowStudio
and guess what it was wrapped in
mustard yellow tissue paper......confirmation!

So, I pulled out an art board and adhered the tissue paper
and vintage farm weather paper to the board.

From there the layering began....

Do you see the UmWowStudio
Doodle Mash
embedded in the Polishing Plaster??

now to tell on myself....
I WAS REALLLLY STRUGGLING
with the mustard yellow color!
Because of that....I did more layering...
then I applied
and overall spritz of Glimmer Mist.

Still not totally happy I layered on a bit of
Crackle Paint and more Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Mist.
Finally I was HAPPY!

I had used some of the tissue paper to dab
the products I had added to my canvas,
so I cut out a few flowers.

Do you see the UmWowStudio
Vintage Ladder?
I painted it with the Black Gesso and
spritzed with a bit of Glimmer Mist.

I used a few twigs wrapped with wire.

I finished it off with a FABULOUS QUOTE!

HOPE you enjoyed my creations....

Don't cry over spilt PAINT

HOWDY.....UmWowStudio Fans!!

I wanted to share my latest project with you.
NOW....to tell on myself, this project
was birthed out of the spilling of a bottle of paint onto my craft mat.

You see....the cover on a bottle of Bon Bon Glimmer Glam wasn't secured tightly
and seeped out onto my craft mat.
SOOOO after saving what I could, I grabbed some shipping tags
and sopped up the rest of paint.

....and let the creating begin!

Tis the Season.....to make BagTags!

Hi UmWowStudio Fans....
Wanted to share with you my "BagTags"
that I created for "the girls" Christmas presents.

I chose to go with a less than traditional "christmas" look

I chose the following papers......
Homegrown
Snicker
Attic

Once the papers were cut into tags,
I used UmWowStudio's Stencils
and applied various texture mediums.

The two constants on my tags are....
I covered the chosen Chevron with
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
and applied
Stampendous ~ Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel
what a STUNNING look!

And diecut Ivy Leaves
cut from CCB ~ Handmade Paper Ivory
colored with Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Mist.

I JUST LOVE how the "Bag Tags" came out....

I hope you have enjoyed my creative journey
as much as I will giving these BEAUTIFUL gifts!!

Yuletide by Lynne Forsythe

....Tis the season, to get busy!!
I always seem to be in need of
some type of last minute gift, this time of year....
Here is an EASY PEASY
"Yuletide" wall hanging I made in a half hour!

I think....
I may need to stock up on a few more packages of
UmWowStudio ~ Yuletide tags

The base for "Yuletide" is piece of 100 year old Barn Board.

I then assembled various layers of
Vintage Lace
Wire Mesh
Vintage Sheet Music
Burlap
Canvas and
Flute

I painted each of the Yuletide tags with
Polishing Plaster and
finished them off with a jute bow!

I'm off to order more "Yuletide" tags!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the UmWowStudio Fans!!
PS....YES that is snow in my photos....
first one of the season!
