G45 - altered spool

blogs are funny aren't they? I think they get pushed to the back burner SO easily.. I did a big show.. tried to concentrate on making product for it.. the blog sacrificed.. then I swore once it was over.. I would post tons of goodies to the blog.. however.. Graphic45 put up a design team call.. as well as couple of other places..

But.. I'm posting a Graphic45 pieces right now :) which will go into the larger application post towards the middle of the week!

The spool is decorated with Tropical Travelogue (8x8) papers.. did some fussy cutting (the foliage) as well as paper rolling (the eggs). I stamped a Unity stamp onto some white cardstock as sort of a focal point. The paper unrolls from the wooden spool to reveal a treasure map.. and when it's rolled up a vintage metal button pairs with some bakers twine to keep it closed. Other than that I used some moss, distress ink and glue :)

I've sent this in to UNITY to be pinned on a pinterest board for a competition! Keep an eye out there to vote for me :)
as the week at SimonSaysStampandShow is anything goes, I'll also be linking up there :)

12 tags Day 4!

Can't believe we're a 1/3 the way through already!!

Each day of the hop we are using stamps from Plate #1363 -- which is also a PRIZE! for people who hop all 12 days, leave comments and become followers!

You should have started @ Terri's Blog. if not, click the link and be sure to go in order :)

My Creation:

I need daylight all day long so that I can take better photos.. even when I wait till the last minute ;)

I have also managed to base my tags off of Linda (The Funky Junkie)'s 12 tags! So I will be linking up there each day :) Today's is linking to tag 3 -- I swear I start with Linda's tags as inspiration -- I love the "old music sheet" that she's created (i'm assuming with vellum and a heat gun) so I tried to do something similar with my sentiment.. and in my head I was thinking "Believe... wish... dream" and so forth! I do love vintage browns/tea dyes and such.. but I also love some nice color -- so this one does not match in tones ;)

Thanks for stopping by!! You're on your way to Susan's Blog next!!!
