'On her Tuffet'

Hello there and welcome!
Geraldine here and today I'm sharing my first official Creative Team member layout and blog post. I consider myself an 'earth girl' and by that I mean I love trees, leaves and nature, right down to my colour palettes.
So I must say.....how could I resist the Layered Leaves & Leaf confetti and I just had to add these Spooky branches -  to match that nasty big Spider.

I find fussy cutting - relaxation therapy and the stunning design and colour of the Nature Walk paper added the perfect touch of nature I was after. I have even got some hidden spider webs on the layout - see if you can find them!

Thanks for dropping by the UmWowStudio blog, stay a while and enjoy all the creativity the team here has to share! Geraldine.

My Secret Story with Rhonda

Thursday greetings to you!  It's Rhonda here today with my very first post for UmWow Studio.

I was inspired by the Hexagon Background for my page. To begin, I coated it in clear gesso and then misted it with some Moon Shadow Mist, then sprinkled it randomly while wet with Pepper embossing Powder and applied heat to activate the embossing.

Once it dried completely, I flipped it over and used it as a mask to mist onto my background paper. I used TiffanyLou Blue and then set aside to dry.

I selected the Mini Polaroid with a heart relief and colored it with Whale Watch Blue. The heart was later colored in with a Blue Metallic artist pen. The Layered Clouds were misted with Splash Chalkboard mist and Whale Watch Blue. Once dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the layered cloud on the right.

Additional embellishments of enamel dots and sequins helped finish the page. The star theme of my "Life is Good" flair is one of my favorite elements on the page.

The wanderer

Hello friends,
Brianna here with my very first post. I was so honored to be asked to work with this amazing and versatile product, I could not wait to get started. I created this layout expressing my love for seeing and living in new places.
I fell in love with the Arrow Confetti the second I saw it. They are pleasantly smaller than I thought they would be, which worked amazingly for pointing out all the places I have called home on the world map. I also used some larger arrows and a triangle from the layered triangles to add visual interest to my title.
I added the large star button from the Make a wish flair set. It looks like it was made for this layout! A few stars cut on vellum, and the perfect quote later, I was done! I had so much fun creating this and hope I could inspire you to use your confetti in new ways.

fun - art journal

Hello UmWowStudio fans :)

Here is Tusia Lech with art-journal.

I would like to show you couple photos, how I created it.

At first I cut cardboard and white, blank canvas to create front and back cover.

Then I started to glue down some canvas stripes using Gel Medium. I used Checker Board Mask to create a pattern.

I started adding colors with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and gorgeous chipboard pieces from Gear Mash set.

Again I have used Gel Medium and UmWowStudio Checker Board Mask.

And then I started stamping (Avery Elle stamp set and 7 Dots Studio stamp set)

And here are some close-ups of finished covers:

And back cover:

Thank you for visiting UmWowStudio blog today.

BOOM!!!

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I am so excited to be with y'all and UWS for another DT term!  I freakin' LOVE UWS product and how hip and fun it is to create with!

Today, I am sharing a Bright and Colorful tag, full of Energy and Motion!

I often create tags when I want to experiment with new products or techniques.  I NEVER throw my experiments away and often use them on future projects; scrapbook layouts, mixed media canvas, and cards.  I also use them to create more intricate tags and full 'just because' projects.

The inspiration for my tag started with the main tag.  When I received the Light Bulb mask, I wanted to try it out on a tag.  I loved how it looked, but didn't have an immediate product in mind.  So I stashed it in my 'Tag' drawer, where it sat for several months.

Then BOOM!  It hit me.  How about a tag with one of the freakin' awesome Comic Book Speech Bubble chips?  Ah Yes! (I layered the Comic Book Speech Bubble chip over a piece of Grid Border chip.)

I layered the Light Bulb tag over a 'cut in half' tag, created with Shimmerz 'Dazzerlz' and 'Vibez'.  This created a pop of Blue and Green color!

I pulled out some 'extra' UWS chip bits, the hat from the Photo Booth Props Chip set, and a circle from the Circle Confetti set.  I love how the smallest bits add the perfect little touch!

I finished it off with several rhinestones, ribbon, and sticker sentiment!  So much fun!

So next time you want to experiment and play - pull out some tags!  You never know when they will end up in a finished project!

Nature's Artistry by Miae

Hi everyone,

Miae here to share a bright and cheery page (and speaking of cheery...Happy 4th of July for those celebrating!).  This page is about mother nature's amazing artistic ability (and oops I meant to spell ARTISTRY!). That butterfly in the photo is called the Owl Butterfly...easy to see why, right? Mother nature designed those wings perfectly!

I wanted to convey an organic feel here and the Damask Mask worked perfectly. To create part of the background, I misted the damask shape onto the cardstock, I also "stamped" with the mask, and finally I mixed green paint with molding paste and masked the damask shape.

And of course I had to use one of the Layered Butterflies to complement this page. I covered it with Snow-Tex and dabbed green paint over it.

To balance the page, I added butterflies to the right side using May Arts Butterfly ribbon, and a dash of pink using a Layered Circles chipboard cut in half and painted pink and stamped. I think the VLVS tree stamp is just beautiful and helps add to the movement.

Enjoy your day!
